I’ve got to say, the last few rounds have been amazing. I’m always tweaking the lessons, trying to figure out how to teach in the most effective way. The students have come through like rockstars!
The last few rounds have been large, but fun! We’ve sold out of almost every class we’ve offered. People are telling their friends of the amazing results they’re getting. The reviews have been fantastic too!
In the last class, I always ask the same thing: Did you ever think, in a million years, you’d be producing the amazing photos that you’re creating today?
The answer is always the same – a resounding no. People don’t realize how easy and accessible it is to take amazing photos. I simply teach you the basics of photography – shutter speed, aperture, rules of depth and composition, and lighting – both natural and flash – and then you just have to let your imagination do the rest! You’ll be surprised what you think of!
There’s two walks involved. Although photographing theory is extremely important, it’s also important to be able to use these skills out in the open. Otherwise, you’re simply a spectator. I find that once I get my students into one or two rules of depth or composition, they catch on pretty quickly. That’s when the skillset really seems to take off.
Requirements for joining are an SLR. This is really important – you want to be able to change your shutter speed and aperture! There are great, inexpensive cameras from Canon and Nikon right now. You’ll learn how easy and fun it is to use these cameras to their full potential. Class sizes are limited to 20 students. This is important, as every student will need one-on-one instruction at least once. The earlier you apply the better – classes fill up fast. This is going to be the last session before autumn. My wedding season is kicking in!
